Yesterday was such a busy day that it makes having today off from work even more special! I’m looking forward to getting some things done for Christmas and getting to hang with this sleepyhead all day.
I had a great little workout yesterday (I’ll share specifics in a later post) and was so happy to have a Forerunner 205 back in my life! Thank you Christmas Bonus!! 🙂
As always a good workout must be followed with great food – so I whipped up some cinnamon-oatmeal pancakes after some ab work and a nice warm shower to thaw. Pancakes should always be topped with peanut butter, bananas, and honey!
Last night was our Leadership Christmas Party at church. Each year staff puts on a party and Christmas concert for all of our volunteers. It was really fun to be a part of it for the first time and be able to bless all the people that freely give up their time to help us do our jobs!
It took almost our entire staff the whole afternoon to decorate. This year’s theme was It’s a Wonderful Life and I think we hit the nail right on the head…
We had the Bedford Falls sign, complete with snow! My co-worker’s husband MADE this sign – isn’t it so amazing?? (He does really amazing woodwork – you should totally check out his Etsy shop)
We had snow drifts (and shovels) inside!
Street lamps and benches just like in Bedford Falls!
A decked out Christmas tree for the photo booth!
A very popular candy bar – with all Christmas themed candy.
And even and old fashioned Soda Shop, that actually served coffee and hot cocoa for chilly guests.
It was such a fun night of celebrating our volunteers and listening to some great Christmas music from amazing Christian artists!
3 Christmas parties down – 1 to go!
Have you ever seen It’s a Wonderful Life?
