Sunday Summary – 2/2/2014

My hubby is always making my smile… he made me a heart from his french toast this morning!

Yesterday’s long run had a tempo portion at the end – the workout went great but after all I wanted to do was SLEEP! Luckily Henri had to work so I was free to veg all day. A pretty pink pedicure…

… and snuggling with the pups had me feeling much better!

When Henri got home we headed out for date night. We tried two new places within walking distance of our apartment and they were both amazing!

Dinner was at MOD pizza. Its the same concept as Chipotle but with PIZZA and salads! I got my pizza with tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese, chicken, ham, tomatoes and pineapple. SOOO GOOD!

Their lemonade is homemade and I can never pass up homemade lemonade! I got the marionberry one and Henri went with traditional.

On the walk home we stopped by Creamistry – the newet ice cream chain around! You pick your cream and mix-ins and they make your ice cream in front of you using liquid nitrogen! It is a really cool concept and the ice cream is amazing… BUT the wait was a little long and its pretty expensive. Definitely a rare treat.

We brought our ice cream home and doctored it up with some waffle cone bowls and chocolate sauce and finished the night with Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2! (I fell asleep at 8:30 and didn’t make it to the end but what I saw was super cute!)

Nutella ice cream with bananas and Oreos mixed in!

Today we’re just hanging out at home, watching the Superbowl, and cheering for whichever team will help Henri win his office squares! But really – GO SEAHAWKS!

  1. Your training weeks blow my mind! As far as pizza, I love cheese, tomatoes (like margarheta style), and pepperoni. It also never hurts to throw some bacon on there. Bacon makes everything better.

  2. If you are ever in old town pasadena you absolutely have to go to Blaze, it is the same pizza concept and literally to die for it is so good. I think I got goat cheese, ricotta, too many veggies to remember, balsamic drizzle, ah so good. Seeing your mileage increase every week makes me so excited for you, Lolo! Seriously though! Seems like you are killing it and I love following along (: Also, don’t you just love those days where you have a long workout and you can literally do nothing the rest of the day?! You feel like you accomplished so much in the morning you have a legitimate excuse to be a bum the rest of the day!
