Sunday Summary – 6/22/2014

Hello from Jackson, WY!photo 2 (35)After 9 hours of travel Henri and I made it here safe and sound and met up with the rest of the fam (they left Friday morning). We spent the night just settling into the hotel, playing cards, and grabbing some snacks at the grocery store near our hotel. We’ll be up bright and early today for a bike ride through Jackson Hole valley and then will be driving up to Yellowstone park to see Old Faithful. I’ve always wanted to see that!

Here’s a look at my training this week.

Sunday Summary6.16-6.22

Monday – Dynamic warm-up, 8 miles easy @ 7:24 pace + lunges, squats, push-ups & core

Tuesday –  Mile Repeat Workout – 2 mile warm-up, stretch/drills/strides, 5x 1 mile (5:41, 5:38, 5:39, 5:39, 5:34), 2 mile cool-down – 10 miles total @ 6:39 average pace

Wednesday – Dynamic warm-up, 9 miles easy @ 7:34 pace

Thursday – AM: Dynamic warm-up, 8 miles easy @ 7:24 pace PM: 3.25 miles @ 7:15 pace with Finn + lunges, squats, push-ups, core

Friday – 5 miles @ 7:35 pace

Saturday – 5K RACE – 2 mile warm-up, 5K race in 17:48, 4 mile cool-down – 9 miles total @ 6:59 average pace

Sunday – 5 shake out miles @ 7:30 + core

Total Mileage: 57.63   Average Weekly Pace: 7:15   Total 2014 miles: 1,397.01/3,000
